Health and Wellbeing within the community
Our organization provides a comprehensive range of health and wellbeing services tailored to meet the unique needs of the community. This includes preventive care, health education, mental health support, fitness programs, and more. We actively collaborate with local healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to community health. This involves partnerships with clinics, hospitals, and other organizations to provide integrated care. Our programs provide services and resources to individuals of all ages, from children to seniors. We have age-specific initiatives addressing the unique health and wellbeing needs at different life stages. Mental health is a priority for us.
We offer counseling services, support groups, and services focusing on stress management, resilience building, and other aspects of emotional well-being. This is done by engaging with the community through workshops, health fairs, and awareness campaigns. We actively seek input from community members to tailor our services to their needs. We welcome collaborations with organizations, schools, and other community entities. By working together, we can create impactful health and wellness initiatives that benefit the entire community.
Health and Wellbeing within the community
Our Healthy Living & Supportive Placement program is dedicated to alleviating mental health challenges by expanding access to stable housing, fostering self-sufficiency and independence, improving educational outcomes, and strengthening social and family relationships. Our response to the growing mental health crisis involves a holistic approach, aiming to empower individuals and families.
By eliminating barriers and introducing treatment resources, we strive to shape a brighter future for those in need. Our commitment aligns with both sound public policy and fiscal responsibility by offering alternatives to shelter, and providing temporary placement vouchers for short-term stays for individuals that qualify, ultimately keeping families supported and resilient.
Little Steps to Wellness
Little Steps to Wellness is an evidence-informed substance use and mental health prevention program for youth. Our program follows curriculum that details the overall health effects of substances that most commonly impact Arizona teens 17 and under. Our skilled youth counselors lead the lessons, approved by SAMSHA, to host groups and one-on-one sessions on school campuses across Maricopa County. Within this program, our youth counselors focus on teaching life skills and coping mechanisms including communication, healthy ways to manage stress, peer interactions, handling adversity and positive decision making.
Little Steps to Wellness uses these building blocks to prepare our youth and mold good members of society. Little Steps to Wellness serves as the bridge for providing care to youth at risk of mental health and substance abuse challenges.
